STEM: Popsicle Stick Catapults

Ever wanted to be a pirate on the high seas, or a knight storming a castle? What about a member of the Roman Legion in an ancient battle? Then what you need is a Catapult!

These simple machines used to launch objects over long distances have been used for thousands of years, and now it’s your turn to see how they work! Using simple craft supplies we’ll be making our own catapults and seeing how different materials, lengths, and weights effect the force needed to launch a (soft) ball.

All youths interested in the topic are welcome to join!
