Celebrating community and business leadership

Every community has people and businesses that go above and beyond to make it a better place to live, work and do business. Each year, the Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce Community Awards recognize meaningful contributions that strengthen our town.

Join local businesses, community leaders, friends and neighbors for dinner at The Lodge on Echo Lake as we honor this year’s award recipients and the work behind their recognition.

Recipients are selected by a review committee based on the quality, impact and context of each contribution, not on public votes or the number of nominations received.

Our 2026 award recipients

Both recipients were nominated by members of the community who see their contributions firsthand.

2026 Business of the Year

Bandstand Brew Works

Since opening on Main Street in late 2024, Bandstand Brew Works has made giving back part of how it does business. Owners Darby Langworthy and Laurie Rinke-Langworthy regularly host events with proceeds benefiting local nonprofits, including North Country Ministry and the Warrensburg Student Enrichment Foundation.

Their Wing Wars fundraiser brought restaurants from across town together in friendly competition and raised more than $4,000 for the Student Enrichment Foundation. The brewery also offers its back room to nonprofits as a meeting space and takes part in town-wide events such as the World’s Largest Garage Sale and Restaurant Week.

Nominators also pointed to the owners’ welcoming presence, often visiting with customers at their tables and asking after family and friends.

2026 Civic Leadership Award

Sarah Gebbie-Measeck

Sarah Gebbie-Measeck gives her time to Warrensburg in ways large and small. As president of the Richards Library Board of Trustees, she has researched and applied for grants and secured funding for improvements to the historic library building.

At the library, she started a regular sewing program to help residents learn to sew, and she organized repair cafés, working with the Hudson Valley Repair Cafe, where skilled local volunteers help residents fix household items and keep them out of the landfill.

Sarah also serves on the board of the Warrensburg Student Enrichment Foundation, which funds programs such as The Zone and Camp Inspire for the school district, and has volunteered as a mentor at Warrensburg Elementary School. Her nominators describe someone who works to make Warrensburg a little better every day, whether anyone sees it or not.

  • Dessert: Cheesecake
  • Beverages: Coffee, decaf, and tea
